Fluorometers
Fluorometers are devices that measure the concentration of fluorescent dyes, specifically PTSA or Fluorescein, in a water sample. Water treatment chemical concentrations can be difficult and expensive to measure directly. Fluorescent dyes can be added to the water treatment chemicals in proportion to the active ingredient and used as an easily measured tracer. These sensors are also called fluorescent sensors or fluorometric sensors. Walchem offers high-quality fluorometric sensors that are compatible with various configurations of Walchem pumps and controllers. We offer various types of fluorometers for a broad range of applications across industries. If you have any questions about our fluorometers, please call us at 508-429-1110. We look forward to answering any questions you may have regarding our product selection!
Types of Fluorometers We Offer
- Pyxis Inline Fluorometers: Used to continuously measure fluorescence with automatic compensation for the turbidity and color of the sample water. A specialized oil-in-water sensor is also available.
- Pyxis Handheld Fluorometers: Used for spot checking of fluorescent dyes used in process and cooling water applications, and to calibrate the inline sensors.
- Little Dipper 2: Another choice of inline fluorometers.
- Handheld Little Dipper: Used for quick on-the-field measurements in industrial applications such as cooling towers and boilers.
Applications of Fluorometers
