Datalogging Errors

When trying to open the log file in Excel, the file doesn’t appear:
Make sure that you change from "Microsoft Excel" Files to "All Files"

The log file in Excel is disorganized and not in the correct columns:
Click “Delimited” and “Comma” when opening the file.

Changed from Auto Data Log to Manual Data Log, and the file is empty:
There is a warning that this will happen. Changing to manual logging will empty the file, and build it again in the future for the time frame selected. If past data is needed, download the Active Data Log, which will contain all data in 10 minute increments for the past 30 days.

Access Code Errors
Can’t remember the access code:
The access code can only be determined while on site. Turn off the power to the controller. Press and hold the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys for ONE MINUTE, while turning the power back on. The access codes will be displayed temporarily.
Browser Errors
Unable to view real time data (Red display):
You may be having problems with your JVM (Java Virtual Machine).
Delete cache from the browser:
  • Click 'Tools' from the Internet Explorer menu bar.
  • Click 'Internet Options' .
  • Click the 'General' tab.
  • Click the 'Delete files' button in the 'Temporary Internet files' section.
  • If you still have a problem, repeat the steps above and restart the computer.

Clear the Java Plug-in cache:

  • Click Start> Settings>Control Panel Double-click the Java Plug-in icon in the control panel The Java Plug-in Control Panel appears.
  • Click the 'Cache' tab Click 'Clear', a confirmation dialog box appears.
  • Click 'Yes' to confirm
  • Click 'Apply' If it still fails to display, you need to download the latest version of Java (www.java.com).
  • Go to the yellow 'Download Now' button on the top right and follow instructions! Remember, when you download a new version of Java, make sure to delete old versions! You can do this by going to Control Panel> Add/Delete Programs.
Graphing Errors
Unable to see graph, or graph line is missing segments: Verify that you have the latest version of software. If not, then upgrade. You may be having problems with your JVM (Java Virtual Machine).

  • Click "Internet Options..."
  • Click the "General" Tab.
  • Click the "Delete Files" button in the "Temporary Internet files" section.
  • If you still have a problem, repeat the steps above and restart the computer.

  • Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
  • Double-click the Java Plug-in icon in the control panel. The Java Plug-in Control Panel appears.
  • Click the Cache tab. Click Clear. A confirmation dialog box appears. Click Yes to confirm. Click Apply.
  • If it still fails to display, you need to download the latest version of Java (www.java.com). Go to the yellow "Download Now" button on the top right and follow instructions!
